But who are the people behind those numbers? We’ve known from the beginning that a large majority of our users were referred by a peer working in the industry. As a result, the site became a sort of industry secret–whispered from one med rep to another during times of job transition. Over the years, MedReps popularity has grown, but it is still largely used by professionals who are already working in the industry–meaning our candidate pool is made up of experienced industry professionals.
How do we know? We survey our community several times throughout the year to gain insight on industry salaries, best places to work, and industry trends. We also ask for demographic information. The following numbers are taken from more than 4,000 survey responses received between April and November of 2018. The consistency of the data from survey to survey (and year to year) offers assurance that these stats are a fair representation of the current MedReps community.
