No matter who you’re selling to or where, every pharmaceutical rep is required to comply with all FDA, AMA, PhRMA, and HIPAA and Safety guidelines as they make daily sales calls to help customers meet the needs of their patients.
Most pharmaceutical sales reps hold a Bachelor’s degree, and roles require at least two years of previous experience in sales. More entry-level roles allow your experiences to be in any sales field, not just direct pharmaceutical experience.
You must also reside in the territory listed in the job description or be willing to relocate as you’ll be traveling to offices and clinics in a specific region.
